Our managing director, Phil Devitt, is the primary contact at Erda. With a broad industry experience Phil is well suited to support your project requirements from initial consultation to delivery.
Phil has a solid academic grounding. He initially completed a degree in Geology and Geography (Joint Honors) at the University of Birmingham in 2009. Phil's knowledge base was further extended through the attainment of a masters degree in Surveying (Minerals) at the University of Northumbria in 2013.
Phil is a chartered environmental surveyor obtaining professional membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 2020. He has also recently become a Fellow of the Geological Society (FGS).
Phil also has over 9 years experience in industry. His initial work involved 2 years as a surveyor of both land and property for a number of industrial and commercial sector clients. Phil has 7 years experience as a Geo-environmental consultant for a variety of companies and individual clients based in the East Midlands and wider area.
The scope of Phil's experience includes support for property developers, planning consultants, architects, structural engineers and land surveyors over a range of sectors including residential, commercial, leisure and industrial.
Phil understands the importance of every project to the individual. He is happy to discuss each client's unique needs in order to realise their individual goals. Phil is keen to assist clients with their understanding of the formal processes and general practice with regard to his area of work. His ethos is to develop the most efficient and effective way to achieve his client's objectives.
