Coal Mining Risk Assessment

Where can I get a coal mining risk assessment completed?

A Coal Mining Risk Assessment is undertaken using geological maps to assess if there is a risk of either recorded or unrecorded shallow coal mining beneath a proposed development site. These are typically requested by the Local Planning Authority where a site is situated within an area considered to be at high risk of being impacted by historic mining. To read more information about coal mining risk assessments read our blog - Introduction to Coal Mining Risk Assessments.
